ooc: I’m Here.
Just lurking in the shadows until my coffee kicks in. Having a really rough emotional day, so bear with me if my replies/posts are either slow or Johanna is a little more melancholy/snarky than usual today.

“There’s a face that we wear
In the cold light of day.
It’s society’s mask,
It’s society’s way.
And the truth is….
That it’s all a facade….
Look around you.
I have found you
Can not tell by looking
At the surface
What is lurking there
Beneath it.
See that face?
Now i’m prepared to bet you
What you see’s not what you get.
‘Cause man’s a master of deceit.
So what is this sinister secret?
The lie he will tell you is true?
It’s that each man you meet
On the street
Isn’t one man,
But two.”

ooc: “Beneath A Moonless Sky” from Love Never Dies. Okay…I really hate the plot for the sequel to Phantom Of The Opera, but the music, set, and costumes are absolutely GORGEOUS!

“Yes, Anthony. Wellm his real name is Antonio, but I call him Anthony to tease him.” Bianca said. She then heard a voice said, “Why are you all congregating at the side of the stage instead of practising?” Bianca recognised the voice as Anthony’s, and she made her way through her colleagues, bringing Johanna with her. “Anthony, you are such a sourpuss when I’m not around. Give them a break, they have been practising since this afternoon.”
Anthony’s face lit up at the sight of Bianca. “Ma bella! Oh, the Queen of my heart. My darling Bianca. Who is your lovely guest?”
Bianca gestured to Johanna. “Anthony, meet Johanna. Johanna, this is Anthony, the musical director of the Royal Opera House. She is my apprentice, Anthony. She is talented, and I’m sure she shall shine under my tutelage and your guidance.”
“Oh, I see..” A brief disappointment shook her, but she did not let it linger, and looked up as a flustered man approached them. The frustration melted away into a huge smile, though, at the sight of Bianca and in a snap he went from calling reprimands to all compliments. As Bianca introduced her, Johanna gave a soft bow. “It’s my pleasure to meet you, Sir. Apparently Miss Solderini saw something in me that even I was aware of…the ability sing.” She gave a small laugh.

[[ I can’t speak for everyone but you should poke us for a reply. Casanova’s mun is my friend so I know she tends to forget, best to poke for a reply. I have yours in draft, but my muse is currently “dying”. OTL I’ll try to get to it tonight! ]]
ooc: I do give pokes if I haven’t heard from a partner after a day or two. Lol. And now rush, hun. The list was more for myself to keep track of things for my horrible memory.
It’s my pleasure to meet you, Daniella. I’m liking it well enough thus far, thank you. However, the Countess’ strictness is quite a bit to get accustomed to.
Good, I’m glad -chuckles- and yes it surely can take some getting used to but if you behave and do not make her angry she may allow you to have a bit more freedom around the house, perhaps even allow you to leave with a couple guards escorting you.
Yes, she doesn’t strike me as horrid…simply quite strict. And we can not leave of our own accord? *She sighed* I fear that will be an issue for me. I have a tendency to wander whenever I’m left to my own devices.
A few who live here are allowed to leave on their own; others, such as myself, may leave with a guard in tow and the rest may not leave at all. I strongly advise you to ask what you will be allowed to do before wandering off, she will not take it lightly if you do so without her permission and you will not be the only one punished if she catches you.
“Oh my…I’ll be sure to keep that in mind. Do you have any other pertinent advice for a newcomer to the house? I’m not quite sure what the Countess expects of us and I do not wish to rouse her ire.”
Bianca walked towards the secret entrance to the stage that only people who work at the opera house knew. She opened the door and walked inside, the feeling of being at home making her feel happy. She heard the orchestra practising, and she walked on stage and everybody’s stopped playing and stood up, approaching her. “Bianca, we missed you! How’s the wedding preparations?” one asked. “Bianca! My technique got better thanks to your advice, congratulations, by the way!” one shouted. Bianca smiled and brought Johanna beside her. “My dear friends, this is Johanna, my apprentice. Where is Anthony?” she asked them, looking around for her dear friend the director.
Johanna followed her onto the stage and her eyes lit up as if she were a child on Christmas morning seeing the pile beneath the tree. “Oh my goodness…” She breathed to herself, staring about, transfixed. Her attention came back to the present, though, as people began to swarm and give Bianca compliments and well wishes. Not wishing to be in the way, Johanna stepped aside so that she stood just behind Bianca where she would not easily be seen. Bianca apparently had other plan, however. When she pulled Johanna up to stand beside her and introduce her Johanna blushed a fain scarlet as she peered up at the people around them, giving brief greeting nods to those who’s eyes wandered curiously in her direction. “Anthony?” She queried, gaze flicking up to Bianca expectantly. A shadow in the back of her mind made a connection with the name, but she refused to even think of that possibility.
